My job is my life. I have worked in Santa Paula with dogs and cats for 26 years. I share my home with a sweet Doberman Pincher and 3 adorable cats.
I consider animals as little children, they need tender loving care, patience and respect, especially the misunderstood ones that display sharp teeth and claws! Nonetheless, they all deserve the very best of care.
I have lived in Santa Paula all my life and have worked for Santa Paula Animal Clinic since 1990. I can’t imagine working anywhere else or doing any other type of job. I have worked every position in the hospital and enjoy each one of them very much. Currently, I serve as the Hospital Manager.
I have always had a deep love for animals, and as a child, would have as many as my parents would allow me to have, be it dogs, cats, ducks, birds, hamsters, fish, you name it. When I was little it was my life’s dream to work with animals and I feel very fortunate to be able to say I was able to accomplish that and to come to work on a daily basis and love it!
I have wanted to be a veterinarian ever since I was in grade school and graduation day from veterinary school ranks right up there with my wedding day and the birth of my children. I took over Santa Paula Animal Clinic in 1989 and every day since has been everything I ever dreamed it would be. I am blessed with the finest, most dedicated staff in the world, a beautiful, functional new facility and a wonderful location in a great community.
Dogs and cats have been a part of my family for my whole life. I started working at SPAC in 2010 as a part time receptionist and I am now working as a Veterinary assistant, studying to get my license to become an Registered Veterinary Technician. I finally found out what I wanted to be when I grew up! LOL I love my job! Not only the pets, but their owners as well. One of the most amazing feelings is knowing that I had a part in helping to keep my furry friends happy and healthy so they can be with their families for many more years to come.
I have always been passionate about animals. Every area of their life is intriguing to me and I strive to learn more which is why I am going to school to get my license to be a Registered Veterinary Technician. I have learned that even the most feared animal can show kindness and once you’ve gained their trust you form a lifetime bond. It is an honor for me to do what I can to help them because animals have shown me that love transcends every boarder, even from species to species.
