Meet the friendly staff at Santa Paula Animal Clinic!

  • Dr. Angele Blanton, D.V.M

I have wanted to be a veterinarian ever since I was in grade school and graduation day from veterinary school ranks right up there with my wedding day and the birth of my children. I took over Santa Paula Animal Clinic in 1989 and every day since has been everything I ever dreamed it would be. I am blessed with the finest, most dedicated staff in the world, a beautiful, functional new facility and a wonderful location in a great community.

I have lived in Santa Paula all my life and have worked for Santa Paula Animal Clinic since 1990. I can’t imagine working anywhere else or doing any other type of job.  I have worked every position in the hospital and enjoy each one of them very much. Currently, I serve as the Hospital Manager.I have always had a deep love for animals, and as a child, would have as many as my parents would allow me to have, be it dogs, cats, ducks, birds, hamsters, fish, you name it.  When I was little it was my life’s dream to work with animals and I feel very fortunate to be able to say I was able to accomplish that and to come to work on a daily basis and love it!

  • Margarita RVT

My job is my life. I have worked in Santa Paula with dogs and cats for 26 years. I share my home with a sweet Doberman Pincher and 3 adorable cats.

I consider animals as little children, they need tender loving care, patience and respect, especially the misunderstood ones that display sharp teeth and claws! Nonetheless, they all deserve the very best of care.

Dogs and cats have been a part of my family for my whole life. I started working at SPAC in 2010 as a part time receptionist and I am now working as a Veterinary assistant, studying to get my license to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. I finally found out what I wanted to be when I grew up! LOL I love my job! Not only the pets, but their owners as well. One of the most amazing feelings is knowing that I had a part in helping to keep my furry friends happy and healthy so they can be with their families for many more years to come.

Growing up I have always known that I wanted to work with animals.  Whenever I was asked 'what do you want to be when you grow up?' I always had the same answer and that was to work with animals.

I recently graduated from Charter College to become a Veterinary Assistant, do my externship at Santa Paula Animal Clinic and lucky enough to join the team.

I enjoy going to work because every day is going to be something new and knowing I am part of helping animals live a comfortable life is what makes me happy.  My goal is to give the best care and happiness as I can to all the animals I come across in my life.  I look forward to continuing my education in the veterinary field.

My compassion for animals goes far beyond just a feeling. For me it is my life.  My mother told me my first word was dog.  I wanted nothing more than to grow up and become Lassie, but would have settled for Dr. Dolittle. When I was hired at Santa Paula Animal Clinic I had no idea that it would reopen my childhood dreams.  With every dog and cat that vists our clinic, it reminds me of why I was put on this plant and what my purpose in life is.

I have 3 rescue dogs that really rescued me when I needed them the most.  They are my world.

I would say I'm living my childhood dream.  Working with animals has always been something I've wanted to do.  Growing up, my family always had pets, from Queensland Heelers to Quarter Horses which inspired me to continue learning about animals and I decided to go to school to be able to work in the veterinary field.  I joined Santa Paula Animal Clinic in 2016 after graduating from Charter college as a Veterinary Assistant where I was able to start working with cats and dogs.
